简单句基本句型的扩展：增加并列成分
前面所讲英语的六种基本句型只是英语句子的最基本框架，要表达千差万别、丰富多彩的思想内容，仅仅依靠这样几个简单的句子框架显然是不够的。如果我们以这些基本句型为基础，对句子加以扩展，就可以增大信息量

使句子表达手段得更加丰富，从而满足我们对各种复杂内容表达的需要。
英语句型扩展的手段主要有三种：
(1)
增加并列成分；
(2)
增加修饰成分；
(3)
使用各类从句。
基本句型的扩展

)
增加并列成分
英语句子中的任何一个成分都可以增加一个或多个并列成分，从而使句子变得长而复杂。例如：
John visited a farm.
这是一个典型的
SVO(
主谓宾
)
句型，通过增加并列成分可扩展为：
John, Mike and their classmates went to the countryside and
visited a farm
and a nursing home.
句中
Mike and their classmates
是
John
的并列主语，
went to the countryside
是
visited
的并列谓语，
a nursing home
是
a farm
的并列宾语。
并列的成分也可以是句子，构成并列句。即：

My Magic _____
My Magic Shoes
To make our life easier and the environment more beautiful, I have designed a pair of magic shoes. Compared to the traditional ones, they have three new unique functions.
Firstly, the shoes are made from specially produced recycled paper which stands high pressure and temperature but they won’t tear forever.
Secondly, you needn’t wash them forever, for they wash themselves.
Thirdly, the most magically, they can be used as a kind of transportation means. When you want to get somewhere as fast as possible, they will speed up of themselves and you will have a sense of flying. There being the pair of shoes, in the future fewer and fewer people will drive cars. In this way our world will be greener and cleaner.
