Like lots of small-business owners Lola Gonzalez had to lay off one of her nine workers because of the bad economic situation. Unlike other companies, she picked herself to lay off.
Her business began to have problems in 2013. There was not enough work for

My father was always a good gardener. One of my earliest memories is standing without shoes in the freshly tilled(翻耕的) soil, my hands blackened from digging in the ground.

Children younger than one year old should not drink any fruit juice, according to suggestion from the American Academy of Pediatrics(AAP) (美国儿科学会).
In the past years, the AAP has said that children younger than six months old should not drink any fruit juice. They also suggested limits for older babies. Now the suggestion includes all babies who are younger than one. One reason behind the suggestion is that fruit juice offers no nutrition to young children, the group said.
It is still fine for children older than one to drink fruit juice in small amounts, the group said. However, fresh fruit is a healthier choice for older children. This is because it has less sugar and more fiber than juice does. Moreover, drinking too much fruit juice may cause weight gain and toothache, Dr.Steve Abrams from the University of Texas said.
“Parents may think fruit juice is healthy, but it can’t replace fresh fruit completely”, said Dr. Melvin B. Heyman from the US. “Small amounts are fine for older kids, but are unnecessary for children under one.
Babies aged one to three should drink no more than four ounces (about 118ml) of juice per day,according to the AAP. Children aged four to six can drink up six ounces per day, while children and teens aged seven to eighteen can drink up to eight ounces of juice per day.
Parents should encourage kids to eat whole fruit. They should also teach kids about the nutritional value of eating fruit rather than drinking juice, the AAP said.
“Parents who choose to give their older children small amounts of juice should make sure that the drinks are 100-percent juice,” said Dr. Steven Abrams.
